Has Your Doctor Talked To You About Climate Change?
The question of whether doctors should address climate change and its impacts on health has been one of active discussion. We suggest the relevant question is not whether or not doctors should address this issue. That is far too simple. The more complex question is how, in what ways and at what points should doctors address these concerns with their patients. These are the conversations that psychiatrists should be having. Leaders in CPA are looking more deeply at these complex clinical issues and developing guidelines and materials to expand this discussion at professional meetings.
